Homecoming is Upon Us

Get excited because just in a couple of weeks Pierce High School’s homecoming is officially right around the corner!
Starting on Monday, October 7, and going through Saturday, October 12, there will be a variation of activities that students and faculty members can take part in.
Starting off with Monday, students are encouraged to dress in ‘Merica themed outfits. Show up to school showing off a red, white, and blue outfit.
Tuesday is Zoom fit day, where students will wear their nicest tops and look the best they can but wear any non-formal pants and shoes.
On Wednesday, prepare to be hypnotized by the carnival spirit, so join in on PJ day.
Thursday is carnival class colors, and seniors will wear cotton candy pink and staff is cotton candy blue. Juniors, sophomores, and freshmen will do the theme carnival ride colors. Juniors will take orange, sophomores will have green, and freshmen will have red. Junior high will be popcorn colors–eighth graders will be yellow and seventh graders will be white.
Finally, Friday will be all about showing off Bluejay spirit. All jr/sr. high students are highly encouraged to participate to show their Pierce High pride.
Next up is the mini pep rally, which will be held at the elementary school on Friday, October 11. Here all of the little kids will learn about all of the activities that they may want to participate in when they get to high school. The band and cheerleaders will perform and then students will have the opportunity to get signatures and talk to their favorite Pierce High athletes, actors, club representatives, and more.
Following the pep rally there will then be a parade through town with all of the fall activities getting their own float. These floats include one for the football players, volleyball, softball, cheer, one act, FCCLA, etc. The floats will be led by the Pierce High marching band.
The next activity is the pep rally that will be held at the high school. Here the king and queen candidates will be called down to take part in fun and entertaining activities as well as the rest of the senior class.
The queen candidates are Aubrey Hanson, Ava Knox, Skylar Scholting, and Aylla Weeder, and theKing candidates are Wyatt Asmus, Brecken Schwartz, Kreighton Simpson, and Turner Wolfe.
As on any regular fall Friday night, there will be a varsity football game at the high school against the Wayne Blue Devils. The game starts at 7 and everyone is welcome to come.
In addition, following the game, the king and queen will be announced. All of the candidates will walk down the track while all of the activities that they have participated in and accomplishments are read. Make sure to stick around to see who won the king and queen homecoming royalty of 2024.
Finally, on Saturday, October 12, the homecoming dance will be held at the auditorium for 9-12 grade students. Doors will open and the dance begins at 8 and ends at 11. Tickets will be $5, and will be available for purchase from Mrs. Adams, or a representative from boys letter club, girls letter club, or cheerleaders.
So get ready! In just a couple weeks the homecoming fun will begin!
