Lady Jays Golf Swings Away at Hartington

The Pierce girls golf team shot at Hartington on September 18 and finished with a lone medalist.
Sophomore golfer Rylee Altwine placed sixth shooting a 98.
“We need to be consistent and keep our head in the game,” says sophomore Grace Behmer.
Veronica Orona shot a 116, Peyton Wieting shot a 128, Grace Behmer shot a 134 and Addison Frye shot a 152.
The team finished with a 476 at Hartington, not letting them place in the invitational.
“As a team we struggled with injuries and not feeling the best. also the greens were tough for us,” says coach Jason Freudenburg.
The golf team will be in Norfolk for the Mid-State conference golf meet on Thursday, Sept. 28.
