Pierce High Welcomes Back a Maintenance Worker

By Alanna McKeown

Pierce Public Schools welcomes back maintenance worker, Steve Dolesh, who is also a member of the PHS class of 1982.

A little background on Dolesh is that he was born and raised in our very own Pierce community. After graduating high school, he went on to Northeast Community College and took classes in the residential and commercial wiring program.

In his free time, he is the fire chief in Pierce. Dolesh has been with the fire department for 40 years, and he also runs a custom cabinet shop.

Dolesh worked at Pierce Public Schools from 2011-2020 and then moved on to work at Midwest Bank as a facility manager. He worked there from 2020 to now. He now has decided to come back and help around the school again.

Dolesh says his favorite part about working at Pierce is, “The people and working with the teachers. It is also fun to be around the kids.”

Dolesh likes working with his hands and is ready to fix up the school.

Welcome back to school, Mr. Dolesh.
