"Just Tap It In"
By Addison Croghan
With the new spring season upcoming, be prepared for golf balls and golf carts flying all over the place. The boys golf season is upon us and the team saw some new changes.
To start off, the former head coach Rick Adams stepped down to just an assistant coach with Zach Weber taking over the head coach position.
The golf team also obtained numerous new members from various grades.
Coach Weber comments, “Overall, I feel pretty good. We are bringing a couple of veterans back that will be very good players for us and then a bunch of kids are fighting for the next three spots. I think it’ll be very competitive, and it might change week to week for who goes to varsity meets. It's awesome to have as many freshmen as we do and a total of 22 kids on the team. Everyone is at a different level of skill and everyone is excited to get at it.”
Veteran letter winner, senior Abram Scholting pitched in, “I think it’s exciting people are willing to learn how to play golf, and it’ll be exciting with all the new faces around.”
The boys started to practice on Monday, March 13, and the first meet will be in Plainview on April 6.
