Colt Arnold Takes Flight to Protect Our Country
by Isabelle Skrdla
Senior Colt Arnold has joined the Air Force. Arnold has completed his first enlisting oath, meaning he is officially in the Air Force but is in the delayed entry program. This means he does not yet have a job selected.
Colt’s younger sister, Callie Arnold, a junior at Pierce High, states, “I think it’s a good route and choice he has made. I think it will show and teach him a lot about life more than what college would teach. We have talked a lot about career choices and he has it all planned out. Once he leaves for basics it will be different without him being at home everyday because he is someone who I can talk to about anything. I think it will benefit him as an individual and our relationship as siblings. Our uncle and aunt were in the military. Our uncle was in the Marines and aunt in the National Guard.”
Arnold is planning to leave sometime around August 2. His top job picks are Aircraft metals technology, material management and Air transportation. Arnold is prepared and excited to serve the United States of America.
