By Arriah Ludden

The girls competed at Boone Central on Tuesday, April 14, finishing sixth as a team.

I think I did alright in the meet, but one thing I was proud of is that I PRd in the meet on the 400, but I think I could have competed better for sure,” sophomore Aislyn Moeller said.

To start, Moeller placed second in the open 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00:06, to set her personal record for the event this year.

Moeller also got first place in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 26.47 seconds.

In the 800-meter dash, Haley Scholting placed fifth with a time of 2:38:02.

The girls placed sixth in the 4x100 with a time of 53:25 seconds; Suckstorf, Aubrie Zimmerman, Meredith Krienert, and Nora Herian all competed in the race.

The 4x400 team placed fourth and had a time of 4:30:89. Competing in the race were Herian, Moeller, Scholting, and Emily Endorf.

Kylie Dvorak placed fourth in shot put with a throw of 35-00.50; her teammate, Raleigh Pfeiffer, placed fifth with a throw of 35-00.

In discus, Jessa Kraft placed second with a throw of 120-11, Dvorak threw 117-10, placing third, and Pfeiffer placed fourth with a throw of 105-06.

“I think I did okay, but there is room for improvement. The event I was most challenged in was disc,” Senior Dvorak said.

The girls' track team will be back on the track Saturday, April 18.
