Fall Banquet Recognizes Athletes and their Season

By Brynn Schwartz

The annual fall activities banquet was held on November 18 to recognize athletes and review each team's season.

Players, families, and coaches attended the event to recognize the growth of the players and reward them.

After everyone got done eating, each coach took the stage to highlight each team's accomplishments.

One of the main parts of the night was announcing the students who lettered in their sports.

Though we fell short of our larger goals, I am very proud of this group and the season they had. These seniors have done a tremendous job of leading this young team and leaving the program better than they found it. Their influence will last for years to come because of the impact they had on the rest of the team,” volleyball coach Zach Weber said.

Lettering shows strong commitment and effort throughout the season. The seniors presented a small gift to their coaches to show appreciation for the support and help they received throughout their high school careers.

“I think Mr. Weber has taught me the most mentally and physically in volleyball and how to deal with multiple situations and how to overcome anxiety and self conflict and for our season I thought it was a good season even though it didn’t end how we wanted it to. We all had good accomplishments; and overall it was a good season for growth and it was a young team so learning curves were there no matter what. We handled it well and had a good season of success,” senior Naomi Sullivan said.

Other activities who gave out awards included girls golf, softball, cross country and football.
