Girls Track Competes at Boone Central

The girls track team traveled to Boone Central on Tuesday, April 15, to compete in the track meet and finished fourth as a team.
To start with running events, in the 400-meter dash, Aislyn Moeller placed second with a time of 1:01.86.
In the 300-meter hurdles, Hadleigh Collison placed sixth with a time of 49.64.
Moving onto the 800-meter run, Haley Scholting scored sixth with a time of 2:37.60.
Hustling over to the 1600-meter run, Zoey Ebmeier got third place with a final time of 5:52.06.
Running on the 4x100 relay team were Naomi Sullivan, Nora Herian, Grace Suckstorf, and Moeller. As a team, they ended sixth with an ending time of 54.15 seconds.
The 4x400 relay consisted of Moeller, Emily Endorf, Skylar Scholting, and Collison. Pierce scored first with a time of 4:18.02.
In the 4x800 relay, Pierce finished in first place with a time of 10:19.05. Collison, Ebmeier, H. Scholting, and Moeller all contributed.
“The Boone Central track meet went really well, I think all the girls that participated in it did really well, for me, I also did well too,” freshman Aislyn Moeller comments.
Switching over to field events, in shot put, Raleigh Pfeiffer earned third place with a throw of 35-10.75.
Throwing discus, Kylie Dvorak got second place and threw 127-03, Jessa Kraft ended third with a final throw of 123-08, and Pfeiffer threw 109-11, putting her in fourth place.
“Overall, the meet went well. It was great weather, and I think all of us throwers competed well,” junior Kylie Dvorak states.
In the high jump, Claudia Riggert placed second and jumped 5-00.
Finally, with pole vault, Aubrie Zimmerman finished sixth with a clearance of 8-00.
The girls team placed fourth overall with 69 points as a team.
The next track meet will be on Thursday, April 24. This is the Tom Martin Invite and will be held at Pierce High School and starts at 12:30.
