Pierce High School welcomes the new eighth grader Ethan Nordby who transferred from Norfolk Public. Along with Nordby, he has two siblings Benny and Christian, and one dog.
This year, Nordby plans on participating in football, and his favorite class so far is health and PE.
Outside of school, his favorite movie is Miracle. He has the talent of a good athletic ability, and participating in sports is his favorite hobby. Someday Nordby dreams of playing football for the Huskers.
When asked about his time at Pierce so far, Nordby claims, “It's been good, a lot different than Norfolk due to the size.”

Carl Vogt makes his transition to Pierce High School from Immanuel Lutheran School this school year as an incoming freshman. Vogt lives with his parents, Brad and Stacy, and has two siblings Katie who is 18, and Cole who is 20.
Vogt is participating in cross country this fall, and he also plans to participate in speech and possibly basketball as well as track.
Vogt stated this in response to being asked how his first month has gone at Pierce. “They’ve been good; busy but good.” Vogt also stated that “I like being closer to my athletics, and the fun day Mondays have been really cool.”
Vogt’s favorite class this year is geometry so far because he likes math.
In his free time, Vogt likes to study and watch movies with his family.
Pierce High is glad to welcome Carl Vogt.
