Class of 2021 Graduates

by Ciara Garcia

On Saturday, May 8, Pierce High’s class of 2021 graduated with 52 members walking across the stage.

Class sponsor Tom Edmisten states, “It was really just such a good class. Mr. Brahmer talked about it at the commencement a little bit. They work together, they support each other, and they get along. They all did their jobs well and kept out of trouble.”

The ceremony began when the class president, Shawn Rinkel, gave a welcome speech to his fellow classmates and the crowd.

Following, academic awards were presented by principal Mr. Mark Brahmer to the honor graduates.

Then, salutatorian Tanner Kuper gave his speech to the graduating class, followed by valedictorian Abigail Meier with her speech to the graduates and crowd.

Next, a slideshow of baby pictures followed by the senior pictures of the graduating class was shown.

Mr. Steffensen then took the microphone for some final remarks to the class.

To finish up, board of education president Ted Kreinke handed the graduating seniors their diplomas.

Senior Miles Garcia states, “I am ready to take the next step in my life. I’m excited to see what life has in store for me next. College starts in the fall, and it feels like a fresh start. I feel like I couldn’t be more ready.”

Congratulations to the graduating class of 2021!
