The Juniors Take the ACT

by Samantha Fischer

On Tuesday, March 23, the Pierce High School juniors put their knowledge to work as they took the statewide ACT test.

Prior to taking the ACT, all juniors completed the OnToCollege test preparation program.

OnToCollege Coordinator, Amy Lambrecht says,”What I like about the OnToCollege program is that it focuses on test prep and strategy in taking a high pressure, timed test. Combined with the prep sessions that our science, English and mathematics departments present, the juniors should be armed with all the tools and skills they need for a successful testing.”

The junior class has been taking the John Baylor classes all through January, February, and March to help prepare them for the test. They will be completing the math, science, English, reading, and writing portions of the ACT.

Junior Callie Arnold says, “I’m not particularly excited to take a four hour long test, but I’m curious to see if taking John Baylor has helped increase my score.”

Good luck to all the juniors on their test!
