Parent-Teacher Conferences

By Claudia Riggert

Parent-teacher conferences were held on Thursday, March 21, from 3:30-7:30 p.m. at the high school. The elementary school had no school and had designated times for teachers to meet with the parents on Thursday, allowing personalized one-on-one meetings with teachers and parents.

Pierce High secretary Lu Ann Prahl states, “Lines of communication are always important not just between kids and parents but especially parents and teachers. You kids are our future, and there is nothing more important than students, teachers, and schools getting everyone ready for the next step in our students’ lives.”

The high school had a total of 71% of families attend and students received a bonus point coupon to use if someone in their family attended the conferences.

While school was dismissed at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday for the high school, the elementary and Zion had no school all day.

Following the conferences, there was no school for Zion Lutheran School and Pierce Public Schools on Friday, March 22.
