By Garett Riedel

On Monday, March 4, the Pierce High band Journeyed to Wayne State College for the Midstates conference where the conference came together to work on music, perform, and meet other band members in the area.

“It’s always nice to see students from different schools working together to put together quality concerts,” says Pierce band director, Mr. Michael Sindt.

In grades 9-10 Makayla Shefl, Jayna Prochaska, Brayden Lambrecht, Aubrie Zimmerman, Payton Ebmeier, Mya Johnson, Lillian Blank, Addison Frye and Spencer Sindt were in attendance.

For grades 11-12, attending from Pierce were Lauren Ueding, Mia Sackville, Breanna Lindstrom, Nils Røstad, Braxtynne Emerson, Zoey Ebmeier, Kaylee Steffen, Amelia Ahlers, Trayton Christensen, Tate Reinke, Aubrey Hanson, Kenna Sedlacek and Travis Emory.

Røstad states, “It was a fun day, yet challenging, but I feel that I did well for my first time.”

The band had a performance at the high school week on March 14, at 7 p.m.
