By Kaden Froehlich

Following the O'Neill football game on Friday, September 30, the homecoming coronation took place on the track, and the Pierce High 2022 homecoming king is Bode Hoffman and the queen is Brielle Unseld.

Homecoming king Bode Hoffman gave his thoughts on the experience, “It was a riveting and surreal moment that I think will last in my mind for a while. The dance was beautifully set up and the whole event was a lot of fun.”

The other homecoming king candidates were Benjamin Brahmmer, Jayden Coulter, and Dalton Svoboda. The other queen candidates were Ella Gaes, Kaila Spieker, and Morgan Moeller, and  the letter club representatives were Sierra Sonnenfelt and Jacksen Wachholtz. Colter Thayer and Blayke Doerr were the crown bearers. The 2021 homecoming king, Ritter Oestreich crowned this year’s winners.

This year’s homecoming queen Brielle Unseld says, “Homecoming this year was amazing and a once-in-a-life experience, and I’m so grateful for everyone who has helped me get here! It was great to have a break from school and dance the night away!”

On Friday, some clubs and athletic groups got on floats and the band marched their way down to the elementary for a mini pep rally. Then the same groups all went downtown for a parade. After the parade, the cheerleaders hosted a homecoming pep rally in the gym. The annual homecoming dance followed on Saturday with the theme of Let’s Glow Bluejays.
