Robotics Team Rocks the Competition
by Katie Vogt
Last Monday, November 4, the Pierce robotics teams traveled to Northeast Community College for a robotics competition. Pierce took two teams and competed against three other teams. Pierce placed 1st and 5th in the competition.
“We were nervous at first due to us not thinking our robot was the greatest and just were still trying to figure out a bit of programming,” says Angel Heisinger, whose team includes Dalton Svoboda, Matthew Steffen, Nathan Wanke, and Alexander Clausen. Their team placed first in the competition.
Nicholas Lienemann, whose team placed 5th, says, “we might change our robot to make it more simple for our next competition.” His team includes Zachary Price and Emilia Goetsch.
The robotics’ teams next competition will be January 20 in Wayne.
