Track Competes in Sioux City Relays

Members of the Pierce track team traveled to compete in the Sioux City Relays, which is a qualifier meet, on Saturday, April 13.
For the girls’ team, in the 100 meter hurdles, Maggie Brahmer placed 4th with a time of 16.34. Alexus Sindelar, Katie Vogt, Callie Arnold, and Kenzie Moeller placed 1st in the 4x400 with a time of 4:16.26. Zoe Brenden, Payten Simmons, Sindelar, and Arnold placed 4th in the 4x800 with a time of 10:21.23.
For the boys’ team, Colby Richart placed 4th in the discus with a throw of 136’1”. Cruz Gleason placed 6th in the shot put with a throw of 44’1.5”. He also placed 6th in the discus with a throw of 131’3”. Carson Oestreich placed 7th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.55. Dalton Freeman placed 8th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.6. Devan Roth placed 4th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.82. Oestreich, Freeman, Brett Tinker, and Roth placed 1st in the 4x100 with a time of 45.10. Mason Sindelar placed 2nd in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:04.13. In the 4x800, Sindelar, Isaac Lambrecht, David Dale, and Cole Vogt placed 7th with a time of 8:42.51.
Coach Melinda Stelling said, “We had good performances, especially considering the individual events were combined classes.”
The next meet will be a home meet on Thursday, April 18.
