Pierce Choir at Mid-State Conference

by Angelica Volquardsen

Pierce High choir traveled to Albion on Monday, November 5 for the Mid-State Choir Conference. The mass choir, directed by Adam Zrust, Ph.D., rehearsed all day to prepare for the final concert at 5 p.m. for family and friends.

During the concert, the mass choir sang four songs “Come To The Music,” “Keep Your Lamps,”  “Tribute to the Armed Services,” and “I Sing Because I’m Happy.” After the first two songs, the individual school choirs performed a song they had prepared for the audience. The Pierce choir performed “Trouble.”

Dr. Zrust serves as Assistant Professor of Music Education and Director of Choral Activities at the University of Central Missouri.

The Pierce choir’s next performance will be the Christmas Concert on Monday, December 17 starting at 7 p.m. at the Pierce High gymnasium.
