Curtains Close on One-Act Season at State

The PHS one-actors performed during the NSAA State Play Production on Friday, December 8, at Johnny Carson Theater in Norfolk and received 6th place with their crew receiving honors for Outstanding Technical Crew.
Performing their show The Beggar’s Opera, PHS competed against six other schools which were state champions David City performing The Tragic History of Dr. Faustus, Gordon-Rushville performing The Balkan Women, Louisville performing Divine Separation, Cozad performing Chasing Fogg, and Omaha Concordia performing Arsenic and Old Lace.
Wrapping up the one-act season with this show, coach Danielle Goetsch said, “The highlight of the season was winning districts and their district performance. The one-actors surpassed my expectations as a whole and showed me that they have lots of ability and talent.”
