JH Tracksters Take On State

The Pierce junior high track team sent nine members in 12 events to the state track meet at Gothenburg on Saturday, May 13.
There were two medalists of the nine members sent. Katie Vogt received 3rd in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.88, and Cruz Gleason got 4th in discus with a throw of 128’00.”
Both the 8th grade boys and 7th grade girls qualified in the 4x400 meter relay. The 8th grade boys’ relay team consisted of Mason Sindelar, Cruz Gleason, Miles Garcia, and Colt Arnold. The 7th grade girls relay team was made up of Callie Arnold, Julia Polt, Alexus Sindelar, and Katie Vogt. The 7th grade girls 4x100 relay team of Kylie Beckner, Alexus Sindelar, Katie Vogt, and Callie Arnold also made it to state. Alexus Sindelar (7th grade) and Mason Sindelar (8th grade) both qualified in the 1600-meter run. Miles Garcia qualified in pole vault.
With the state meet, the junior high track season was brought to a close.
