JV Bluejays Defend the Win Against Norfolk Catholic
By Payton Ebmeier
The Bluejays JV football team faced Norfolk Catholic after a major win for the varsity team a week prior. They competed on October 5 and secured another win with a score of 27-13.
“I believe that we were able to grow overall by repping the plays over and over and making sure we block the right guys,” Carter Unger, freshman running back, said.
Unger scored a third of the points made that game, leading the team to another victory over Norfolk Catholic.
“Yes absolutely, it is always great to play a rivalry game against Norfolk Catholic. I'm glad both the varsity and JV teams were successful,” Kaleb Anderson, JV coach, said. “This year we added two new JV games to our schedule. It was a great addition because it gives our guys more opportunities to play and improve. Wayne and Summerland both will bring a great group of guys. We will prepare them for both games the best we can throughout the week.”
The JV team travels to Wayne to compete against the JV Blue Devils on October 19, starting at 5 p.m.
