First Picture Day of the Year Approaching

Do not forget to smile for the upcoming picture day! The first picture day of this year will be Wednesday, August 19.
As with last year, photos will be taken by Digital Solutions. Photos can be ordered from their website, which is dsschools.com.
Pictures will take place at the high school multipurpose room during the students' lunch period.
At the elementary school, photos will be taken right away in the morning in the lunchroom/gymnasium.
Taking pictures may seem easy, but behind the scenes it can be chaotic.
“It’s year two, as I was new last year. So this is my second year helping,” counseling assistant, Rachel Abler said. She does a great job organizing, as it does take a lot to put together a crazy picture day.
But then some people sometimes get too camera-shy for pictures.
“I would say the most challenging thing is making sure all the staff gets their pictures taken. As teachers are kind of hard to find in the building,” Abler said. She talked about how difficult it can be to gather everybody together to take pictures.
Everybody can get anxious for picture day, even the staff at Pierce High.
“I was nervous and hoping my smile looked nice,” high school secretary Kim Nordby said.
