FFA Holds a Christmas Market
By Charlotte Enk
The FFA from Pierce High had a Christmas market on Friday, December 5, and in addition to having poinsettias available for sale, members could sell their items there that related to their SAE (supervised agricultural experience) projects.
“I am enjoying it, because through FFA I can meet different people across Nebraska, and I can get my name out there,” senior Alexander Weinrich said. Weinrich’s items are part of his project called Smoken Hot Welds, where he takes custom orders for useful welded items made from upcycled horseshoes.
The market was held at the school greenhouse from 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. and Weinrich was there to sell his welding items such as a horseshoe can holder, wine rack, decorative butterfly and decorative flowers.
The president of Pierce FFA is Dierck White and some of his duties are to plan meetings and events or to involve new members such as helping members.
“Many members are having ideas for baking or welding as well as the selling of poinsettias. I will be selling smoked cheese and tiger meat,” White said.
He and all the members were welcoming all the people that came and they appreciated it very much.
Thanks for our great community in Pierce and to all the FFA members.
