Juniors Attend Northeast Community College Fair
By Brayden Suckstorf
In part of their continued quest to make future plans, all Pierce High juniors went to a college fair hosted at the Northeast Community College campus for a couple of hours on Thursday, September 18.
At the fair, juniors had the chance to talk to representatives from colleges all over the country. Students could ask questions about the cost of colleges, meal plans, extracurriculars, and college life in general. They also just get a good feel about college and can think about their next steps in life after high school. The fair can also help students decide which colleges they would like to visit.
Each college that was there had a representative for them, and they provided the juniors with valuable information about the college and got to answer questions that the students had. Also, the representatives handed out pamphlets, which is convenient if students did not have time to talk to the college; they could just grab a pamphlet that had most of the information. Students also received some free stuff, such as shirts, pens, and pencils.
“I learned more about colleges that I have been interested in, also learned more about visiting colleges. I learned more about career scholars and job opportunities after college,” junior Gavin Lubischer stated.
The fair gave students the opportunity to explore their options and start preparing for their futures.
