High School Headlines
Journalism to be featured on 106 KIX
Pierce High’s journalism class is continuing to participate in a program called High School Headlines through 106 KIX radio (106.7 FM). Each week, the students in the class create a short broadcast that updates radio listeners on upcoming events, news, and other fun activities happening at Pierce High. The students write the broadcast collaboratively, and then record themselves as they report it, then send their recording to the radio station. Other schools currently involved in the program include St. Francis, Plainview, Neligh-Oakdale, Lutheran High Northeast, Madison, Creighton, Norfolk Catholic and Boone Central.
Pierce’s High School Headlines air on Wednesdays at 6:50 a.m.
