The Trojan Women Arrives in Pierce

By Sara Thomsen

It’s that time again when the stage lights come on, and the Pierce High School One act puts on its yearly public performance, which will be on November 20, at 7 p.m. at the Pierce Auditorium.

“The Trojan Women” takes place the day after the city of Troy is destroyed by the Greeks during the Trojan War, and all that remains are the women of the high society, reminiscing about their dying city before they are taken to Greece. Hecuba, the queen of Troy, played by Ashley Wacker, comments on the upcoming performance,  “I am excited to see what everyone thinks about the show because it differs from previous shows.”

Assistant coach Macie Timm says, “I feel like it will be a good test run before districts the next week and good to show the families and friends what we have worked on this season.”

This a free program for the public on Monday, November 20.
