New Students at PHS
New Student at Pierce High

Draydin Gossman, a new ninth grade student, continues his education at Pierce High. He attended Zion for previous school years and made the switch to Pierce this year.
He is participating in FFA, football, and wrestling this year.
Gossman’s family has three dogs, and so far his favorite class is Spanish 1.
In addition to Draydin, his family includes his three siblings, Bergin, Merin, and Coltin and his parents Josh and Shauna.
In his free time, he enjoys farming and raising his goats.
When asked about his transition from Zion to the high school Gossman claims, “It's a little different, but it's a lot of fun up here. I was able to make a lot of new friends.”
New Student Attends Pierce High

Coming from Zion, Bergin Gossman is now attending Pierce High School.
He is in ninth grade, and he will be participating in FFA and football this year.
A little about Gossman is he enjoys working on diesel mechanics and working on the farm.
His family, including his parents Josh and Shauna, has three dogs, and Gossman has three siblings. Their names are Draydin, Merin, and Coltin.
As of right now, his favorite class is strength and fitness.
When asked about his transition from Zion to the high school, Gossman claims, “It's definitely a change, but you just have to go in with a positive mindset. Overall it is good so far.”
New Face at Pierce High

Jax Bauer, along with his twin brother Hayden, moved up to the hill from Zion Lutheran this school year as an incoming freshman. Bauer lives with his parents, Trevor and Kelsey, and his younger brother Crue, who is eight years old.
Bauer participates in football and plans to also compete in basketball and track for extracurriculars.
His first couple of weeks have gone well at Pierce, except science is a hard class for him. He says the teachers are good, and the students are cool. When asked what his favorite class is so far, he replied, “Strength with Mr. Painter because he is cool, and I like the people in my class.”
Outside of school, Bauer likes to play video games a bit, but mainly likes to spend his time practicing sports.
Pierce High is glad to welcome Bauer to the hill!
New Student Emily Endorf

Emily Endorf is one of Pierce High’s newest students and is entering her freshman year. She is the daughter of Joel and Sarah Endorf. Endorf has three siblings, older brother Luke, and younger siblings Natalie and Isaac.
Previously, she attended Zion Lutheran and while there she was a part of the basketball and volleyball teams.
So far, Endorf has enjoyed how nice the teachers are at the high school and all of the sport opportunities Pierce has to offer. Her favorite class is strength and fitness because Mr. Painter makes the class fun, and she has fun people in her class. Some of Endorf’s hobbies outside of school include watching tv, with her favorite show currently being “Outer Banks.”
Endorf is involved in volleyball, basketball, track and field, and FCA.
Pierce High School Welcomes a New Student

Grace Behmer is a freshman at Pierce High School. She is in a family of 5 including her mom, Rachel, her dad, Jeremy. She also has a sister named Gracie and a brother named Devon. Grace, her mom and her dad live here in Pierce with four German shepherd dogs. Her sister Gracie lives in South Sioux City, and her brother Devon lives in Ree Heights, South Dakota.
The classes that she is taking this semester are general math, intro to agriculture, strength and fitness, and computer applications. Her favorite class so far is intro to ag.
Some of the activities that Behmer is involved in this year are FFA, FCCLA, and golf. She said that her first weeks at Pierce High have been very busy.
In her free time, her favorite hobby is showing cattle.
New Student Profile: Hayden Bauer

Pierce High School is happy to welcome former Zion student, Hayden Bauer. Bauer is the son of Trevor and Kelsey and is a twin to his brother Jax. Bauer also has an eight-year-old brother named Crue. Bauer’s favorite family vacation was when he traveled to Cancun, Mexico, about two winters ago.
Bauer participates in football, basketball, and track.
His favorite class is strength with Mr. Painter. He says, “Lifting weights is fun and something I like to do. A big goal of mine is getting stronger every day in the weight room.” Bauer looks forward to his first period strength class because he is always having fun and Mr. Painter is one of his favorite people to be around.
In Bauer’s free time you can find him sleeping, playing video games, and sometimes going to the movies with friends.
A unique talent of Bauers is doing butterfly knife tricks.
After asking Bauer about his time so far at the high school he responded, “It’s been pretty fun. It’s a lot different compared to Zion, but I like how you are always moving around to different classrooms.”

New Student Profile: Boston Krueger

Pierce High School is happy to welcome former Zion student, Boston Krueger. Krueger is the son of Chris and Lydee Jo and has two younger sisters Brecken (5th grade) and Brynlee (3rd grade). Krueger's favorite family vacation was when he traveled to the Black Hills last summer because he loved the beautiful views and old-fashioned towns.
At Pierce High, Krueger participates in football, wrestling, FFA, and baseball during the summer.
At home, he has two dogs: Piper and Biscuit along with five barn cats. Krueger personally owns six cows and his first-born calf is named Rocky.
So far Krueger's favorite class is strength and fitness because he likes becoming stronger. After asking Krueger what his favorite part of his day is he responded with, “Easily football practice because I love football and work every day to get better.”
A class Krueger looks forward to taking is small engines because he loves to work with engines and plans to go to college for Agriculture engineering is his future.
In Krueger’s free time you can find him spending time on the farm. Krueger explains his favorite time of the year, “Definitely harvest because it makes my year a lot easier because I’m not spending all my time fixing pivots. I also love running the grain cart.”
A unique talent that Krueger has is backing up any trailer. He is usually the one backing in the boat when his family is going boating.
One of Krueger’s biggest goals in life is to play D1 football for the Huskers.
