Academic All State Award Winners

Congrats to all of the Spring 2019-20 NSAA Academic All-State award winners from Pierce High School. Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher and are contributing members of the activity or team they are in are eligible.
For boys golf Shawn Rinkel received the award. Taylor Compton and Payten Simmons earned the award in journalism. Shawn Rinkel received the award in music as well along with Sydney Erickson. Dalton Freeman and Carson Oestreich were recipients for boys track and field, while Alexus Sindelar and Katie Vogt received the award for girls track and field.
Vogt had this to say, “Even though I didn’t get a track season this year, I’m really proud to receive this award, and it’s just going to make me work harder next track season.”
Compton says, “I was honestly surprised when I heard that I received the Academic All-State Award, but I am very grateful for receiving it. This truly inspired me to keep writing in the future.” These students that receive this award work hard with everything they do, and they put all their effort and work into Pierce High.
