State Qualifier Medals at State

Senior Sydney Erickson, the only girl qualifier from Pierce, traveled down to North Platte to compete in the NSAA Class C state golf meet. This meet took place on October 14 and 15.
On the first day of competition, Erickson shot an 84 and on the second day she shot an 88 which totaled her score to 172. This landed her placing 6th overall at the state meet.
Excited as she received 6th Erickson said, “I am happy with the place I got. Looking back I know there are some moments I could have improved on some holes and shots, but I really wouldn’t change my experience at State. I know I did the best I could and left everything out there.” Erickson has qualified for state all four years and has placed her junior and senior year.
Coach Melinda Stelling comments, “I am so proud of Sydney! All of her hard work and extra practice rounds over the last 4 years have paid off. It's been fun watching her improve and grow throughout her high school career.”
