Varsity Golfers Place 3rd at Pierce Meet

The varsity golf team held a home meet Saturday, April 28, at the Pierce Community Golf Course. The varsity placed 3rd as a team with a team score of 337.
Individual results for the varsity team included Dysen Roth in 2nd shooting a 79, Chaden Roth placed 8th with an 83, Hunter Raabe in 11th with an 86, Ethan Blecher in 19th with an 89, and Wyatt Neitzke in 40th with a 102.
Results for the Pierce JV saw Mason Sedlacek in 37th with a 101, Reid West in 42nd with a 102, Trevor Pettitt with in 47th with a 106, Dalton Haase in 52nd with a 109, and Matthew Williams in 58th with a 113.
Results for the Pierce C team included Tyler Race in 35th with a 100, Weston Neitzke in 39th with a 102, Jakob Edins in 57th with a 113, Shawn Rinkel in 58th with a 113, and Grant Lambrecht in 65th with a 128.
“We finally had a nice day to golf! The guys played very well,” said head coach Rick Adams. “The 337 is the lowest team score since I’ve been coaching. I like the way we are improving as a team.”
The boys’ next golf meet is Thursday, May 3, at Battle Creek.
Golf Team Gets Runner-Up at Crofton

The boys’ varsity golf team competed at the Crofton invite on Thursday, April 26. There was a total of seven teams competing at the meet, and the team got runner-up.
The varsity results included Dysen Roth placing 2nd with a score of 89, Hunter Raabe placing 9th with a score of 99, Chaden Roth placing 10th with a score of 99, and Wyatt Neitzke placing 13th with a score of 107.
Coach RIck Adams said, “I’m pleased with the guys. It was a very challenging day with the high winds. It was great to get three individual medals.”
The varsity team’s next meet will be Thursday, May 3, at Battle Creek.
JV Golf Team Competes at O’Neill

The junior varsity golf team traveled to the O’Neill meet on Thursday, April 26. There was a total of nine teams competing at the meet, and the team got 4th overall.
The individual results included with Reed West getting 12th with a score of 92, Mason Sedlachek in 15th with a score of 95, Trevor Pettit with a score of 112, Dean Orwig with a score of 113, and Tyler Race with a score of 123.
The junior varsity’s next meet will be Friday at Stanton.
Pierce Golf Team Soars at Hartington

The boys’ varsity golf team competed at the Hartington Cedar Catholic meet on Tuesday, April 24. There was a total of fourteen teams competing at the meet, and the team got 5th overall.
The varsity results included Dysen Roth getting 8th with a score of 81, Hunter Raabe in 19th with a score of 87, Ethan Blecher in 21st with a score of 89, Chaden Roth in 30th with a score of 92, and Wyatt Neitzke in 39th with a score of 97.
The varsity team’s next meet will be Thursday, May 3, at Battle Creek.
