PHS Seals the Season at State Speech

The Pierce High School speech team competed at the state tournament in Kearney on Thursday, March 23.
As a team, Pierce placed 4th. Individually, there were seven medalists in five events.
Chance White placed 2nd in entertainment speaking. In persuasive, Shianna Oestreich placed 3rd and Junior Aguilar placed 5th. The duo of Bryce Bierman and Derek Ross received 5th place in duet acting. Finally, the OID group of Junior Aguilar, Shianna Oestreich, Emily Simmons, and Breane Hoffman took 6th place.
Also competing at state from the Pierce High speech team were Emily Simmons and Abigail White in informative speaking, Bryce Bierman in humorous prose, Ethen Kuether in extemporaneous speaking and the group of Dylan Delka, Chance White, Macie Timm, Abigail White, and Grace Spieker in OID.
