The Seniors are Preparing for Life after High School

By Kolten Wragge

It is that time of year; the seniors are preparing for their lives after high school. Many students plan to attend colleges across the states. But students are not just planning on going to college; they hope to have success further in life.

Brynn Schwartz plans on going to beauty school to become a cosmetologist; she is planning to attend Xenon Academy in Omaha.

“I have always enjoyed doing people's hair, nails, and makeup. It’s something I loved doing as a kid and still do now. I look forward to learning more in-depth and different techniques, new styles, and being able to make people feel confident and good about themselves,” Schwartz says.

Business teacher Jaxson Daake attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and was majoring in accounting; after some time into his degree, he realized that everything about it was not for him. He switched his major to Business Marketing Information Technology (BMIT). He got his diploma and landed his first teaching job at Pierce Jr./Sr. High School.

“My life has been improved by accepting what god has planned for me, even though I may not know what he has planned for me. I don’t know where my life will take me, but I will accept every aspect of whatever may come my way.”

Maddox Ronspies plans to go to Wayne State College to major in finance. “I have always liked numbers and have been really good at working with them. I plan to use my degree to become a loan officer in the future,” Ronspies said.

All the seniors have plans after high school; all of them vary in career and life choices, but wish them luck as they leave high school and start their adulthoods.
