Girls Golf Putts for their Home Meet

Every girls golf member was able to compete in the tournament on Saturday, September 12. They all managed to put their best foot forward despite it being a rather chilly morning.
“I do not think that the weather had any effect on how the girls played today. I think that we as a team made uncharacteristic mistakes today, and that is what affected the girls' scores,” girls golf coach Jason Freudenburg commented. “Overall, I thought they played well, but in moments where we normally shine, we made uncharacteristic mistakes, and that cost us some really good scores. The girls battled through those mistakes and still came away with good scores. Now, we just need all five girls to put up those great scores on the same day. It will happen; their hard work will pay off at conference, districts, and state.”
Despite the undesirable weather, Camassia White was able to place sixth with a score of 94.
“I think the rest of the season will be really good, not only for myself but also for my teammates. We have all been putting in a lot of work to improve every day at practice,” White, a varsity golf member stated.
The remaining team members played great as well, with Brooke Podany’s score of 105, Addison Frye’s score of 110, Jaelyn Jensen’s 113, Brailey Jensen's 115, Teigan Warneke's 126, Alyvia Marks’s 134, and Callan Vogeler's 146.
Overall, the girls placed fourth, yet have more meets to come. The next meet is a triangular at Cedar on Thursday, September 17.
