Boys Track Competes at Norfolk Catholic
By Ava Bargstadt:

On Thursday, May 7, the Bluejays flocked over to Norfolk for the Norfolk Catholic track invite. The boys team placed fourth out of eight teams with an overall score of 67 points.

“Overall, I think that I did pretty well. I could improve on my first lap of the 800. My goal was to see what we could do in the 4x8 and see if we could improve in other events,” sophomore Konnar Jones states.

In the 100-meter dash, Aiden Pospisil placed sixth with a time of 11.80.

Next, Ryder Theisen placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.16.

“We did a 4x800 and ran a really good time, first in the district, and looking to make it to state, and having Konnar and Max making it their first time, going down to Burke. Later in the meet, I had the open 800, which I definitely could have done a lot better in, but towards the end of the race, I hit a brick wall. I just need to do more workouts to help improve my speed,” Shada states.

On the field event side of things, Keaton Frazier placed second in discus, throwing a 144-03, along with Xavier Miller throwing a distance of 131-00, earning him fourth place.
