The girls track team traveled to compete in the Mid-State conference track meet hosted by Wayne High School.
Leading the team in 200-meter, Aislyn Moeller finished with a placing of third and a time of 26.79.
In the 400-meter race, Moeller finished first with a time of 59.43, while in the 800-meter, she finished with a place of fifth and a time of 2:29.87.
“Placing first shows how much I work, and how hard I work, and how much I compete in a race like that,” Moeller states. “One thing I can improve on is to break down my time and get faster.”
For the discus throw, Kylie Dvorak finished first with a throw of 136-10, followed by Jessa Kraft in fourth with a throw of 121-01, and trailed by Raleigh Pfeiffer in fifth with a throw of 107-04.
In the long jump, Nora Herian placed sixth with a distance of 15-09.5. In the pole vault, Aubrie Zimmerman placed fifth with a height of 8-06.
In shot put, Dvorak placed fourth with a throw of 37-04.5.
For the 4x400 relay, the girls placed fourth with a time of 4:26.16.
“The conference track went well. I thought our girls competed hard. On the last throw, Kylie Dvorak comes out and wins discus on her final throw,” head track coach Les Painter states. “Aislyn Moeller finally broke a minute mark in the 400. Again, had some great individual times and throws, and I'm proud of the girls. I cannot wait to see what happens at districts in two weeks.”
