K-6 Vocal Concert

Pierce Elementary students in grades K-6 performed a choral concert for the community on Thursday, April 30, and the elementary concert was nothing short of amazing; the kids loved their songs, and it showed.
Up first were the sixth graders who sang “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast and “Lean on Me/Don’t Stop Believin’.”
The next grade to come in was the second graders, who sang “You Can Fly! You Can Fly!” and “Part of Your World.”
“I think we did pretty well for the most part, and we were pretty awesome at it. My favorite song was probably the whole grand finale, which was ‘One Small Voice’,” sixth grader Braxtyn Franklin states.
Next, the fourth graders sang “Ode to Joy,” which was a recorder feature, and “We Know the Way.”
The kindergarteners came next and sang “School Is Coming to an End,” “See You Later”, and “It’s A Small World.”
The fifth grade selections were “Can’t Stop the Feeling” from Trolls and “Try Everything” from Zootopia.
The first graders sang “Mickey Mouse Mash-Up” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”
Next to come in were the third graders, who sang “Hakuna Matata” from The Lion King and “Remember Me” from Coco.
Last but not least, the whole school sang “One Small Voice” from Sesame Street.
“Each song is chosen to fit their voice range and difficulty level. I always try to incorporate some movement if it fits the song. This year, the 6th grade will be using cloth napkins with their song Be Our Guest. I am also doing an all-school song, which I've never done. I'm excited to hear it and see how the audience reacts to it,” choir director Amy Barhill states.
