Pierce High Welcomes New Sophomore
By Meredith Krienert
Pierce High welcomes a new student, Jack Buettgenbach, as the most recent addition to the sophomore class. Before his transfer to Pierce, Buettgenbach attended Lincoln Northeast high school.
“Being closer to family was an important reason for the move from Lincoln,” Buettgenbach said.
Buettgenbach’s family consists of his parents, Stephan and Abby, his brother, Cory, a sixth grader at Pierce Elementary, and his aunts Bobbie, Abbey, and Stevie. In addition to his family members, Buettgenbach has a cat named Oliver.
While still adjusting to the new school, Buettgenbach is not currently involved in any extracurricular activities. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, reading, and spending time with family.
One of the things that Buettgebach is looking forward to this school year is making friends.
“The number of people here who are nice has helped me a lot,” Buettgenbach said.
In the classroom this year, Buettgenbach is taking a variety of classes, including English 10 with Kylie Freeman, geometry with Darin Suckstorf, American history with Gary Shada, and Intro to IT with Johnathon Dixson. Buettgenbach is most excited about English 10.
Buettgebach is set up for a well-rounded and fun first year at Pierce!
