Wellness Week Activities and Dress Up Days
By Chloe Bernhardt
Wellness Week at Pierce High School is a week that promotes and celebrates many aspects of well-being, from mental and physical health to social and emotional balance. Monday, October 27, through Friday, October 31, Pierce High School will be celebrating this special week.
“Wellness week is very important for everyone. It helps show students and staff that there will always be someone there to help them. I’m very excited to see the episodes the government class put on for the school,” senior Alanna McKeown states.
There will be dress-up days every day that students are asked to participate in. Monday is Switch Up Monday, where teachers dress as students and students dress as teachers. On Take Care Tuesday, students and teachers will dress as superheroes. Wednesday is Workout Wednesday, a day to wear a jersey or sports apparel. Throwback Thursday is the theme for Thursday. This is where students and staff dress as their younger selves. Finally, Friday is Frightful Friday, a day to wear a Halloween costume.
Along with dress-up days, the senior government class will be sending out Taskmaster videos to everyone in the high school that some of the teachers' participated in. These videos will give the week a fun little surprise each day.
“Wellness week is a great time for people to pause, reflect, and to just take time to enjoy life. This bunch of seniors has done a great job making this week enjoyable for everyone,” Brock Bretschneider, senior class sponsor, comments.
