Football Coaches Get a New Communication System
By Kendall Shada
The Pierce High football coaches introduced a new communication system and hope to keep their continuous winning ways going with its use.
The old system, which used headsets, only allowed two or three coaches on the same station, whereas the new system allows all coaches on the same station. Through the use of bluetooth, the new system also allows the coaching staff to choose specific stations like offense, defense, or special teams. It has definitely been an upgrade compared to the old system that the coaches used to have. As in the past, only a few of the coaches were able to talk through the microphones, but through the use of earbuds, all of the coaching staff are able to be part of the game communication.
“The new communication system was a success and is definitely an improvement over the old system, and now Coach Legate has a fully functioning microphone and headset with no dangling microphone,” coach Grant Doerr says.
