The Bluejays Defeat the Raiders

The Pierce Bluejays defeated Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on Friday, September 5, 33-6, making the Bluejays 2-0 so far this season.
Senior Jackson Fischer led the team with a total of 93 rushing yards, followed by senior Kaiden Fritz with 82 yards, and trailed by senior Bryce Lindstrom with 34 yards. In receiving yards, junior Gavin Lubischer led the way with 44 yards. In total, the Bluejays had 275 rushing yards and 86 receiving yards..
“I thought it was a great game, little slow at the start, but we as a team adjusted well and started to get the ball rolling,” senior Boston Krueger states. “(We) still (have) some tweaks to straighten out but it prevents us from getting complacent so I’m not gonna complain too much.”
During the game, senior Christian Nordby was able to bring the team a sack, senior Ryder Theisen grabbed an interception, senior Brock Collison had a fumble recovery, and senior Cameron Kuehler blocked a kick attempt.
For touchdowns, freshman Brody Scholting, Fritz, and Fischer each scored one rushing touchdown, while Lubischer and senior Dayton Watts each scored one receiving touchdown. In total, the touchdowns brought the Pierce Bluejays' score to 30. Junior Tate Wales tied the knot by scoring three point after touchdown kicks, bringing the final score to 33.
“We definitely made a big jump from week one to week two. It was good that we got some of out back ups in to get them some playing time and experience so we have more depth,” senior Cameron Kuehler states.
