Boys Track Goes to Boone Central

The boys track team ran to Boone Central for a track meet, and the team achieved fourth place, earning 73 points on Tuesday, April 15.
In the 800-meter race Brenden Bolling achieved first place with a time of 1:57.97.
Bolling also received first place in the 1600-meter with a time of 4:49.74, and teammate Kendall Shada obtained second place with a time of 4:52.35.
Shada also brought home second place in the 3200-meter run and achieved a time of 10:35.81
For the 110-meter hurdles, Ryder Theisen got sixth and got a time of 16.10.
In the 300-meter hurdles, Theisen achieved third place and Parker Gaes attained sixth place. Theisen’s time was 42.51 while Gaes ran the race in 43.65.
Sean Monroe, Gavin Lubischer, Aiden Pospisil, and Konnar Jones got fifth place in the 4x100 relay with a time of 47.34.
Jones, Keaton Frazier, Gaes, and Hayden Bauer received sixth place in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:52.47.
“I feel like the team and I did a great job at the meet. There were a lot of teams there, but I feel like we did great. I feel like I did a great job at my events and placing in the events,” Gaes says.
In discus, Frazier finished third with a throw distance of 139-09, and Jax Bauer achieved fourth in discus with a throw of 134-00.
Gaes achieved fifth place in high jump, going 5-08.
In the long jump, Theisen jumped 19-11.25, earning fourth place.
Finally, Theisen achieved first place in triple jump with a distance of 43-00.50.
"I thought we competed well, and I was happy with the way we showed up and represented Pierce as a team,” Theisen states.
