State Track

Class B NSAA state track was held at Omaha Burke on May 15-16, and Pierce ended with one state medalist.

Kylie Dvorak finished fourth in discus, throwing 129-07. 

Skylar Scholting competed in the girls 300-meter hurdles and finished in a time of 49.39 second and 19th place. 

In girls shot put, Raleigh Pfeiffer threw a distance of 33-10.25, putting her in 21st place. Pfeiffer also competed in girls discus throw along with Dvorak; Pfeiffer threw a distance of 115-10, good enough for ninth.

The girls 4x400 relay team consisting of Hadleigh Collison, Abigail Cone, Josie Painter and Scholting finished in a time of 4:11.31, giving them a 15th place finish. 

Pierce also competed in the girls 4x800 relay, again finishing in 15th with a time of 10:29.96. Runners for the 4x800 were Collison, Painter, Haley Scholting and Cone.

Junior Claudia Riggert competed in the girls high jump and finished with a jump of 4-11 and 17th place.

Cone competed individually in the 800-meter dash, ending 22nd with a time of 2:27.48.

“Our kids competed hard. Kylie Dvorak got fourth in the discus and Raleigh Pfieffer made the finals and got ninth,” head coach Les Painter comments. “Ryder Theisen made finals in the triple jump and got ninth. We had PR's in four other events. I am super proud of this group. The best part of state track is watching our kids compete.”

For the boys, Brenden Bolling completed the 800-meter dash, running in 1:58.91 and 14th place. Then in the 1600-meter run Bolling completed the race in a time of 4:37.28 for 19th place.

In the boys 3200-meter run, freshman Kendall Shada finished in 10:25.78 and a 23rd place finish. 

Gavin Sullivan competed in long jump and triple jump with distances of 20-08.25 and 40-00, respectively for 11th and 23rd places. 

Finally Ryder Theisen had a distance of 42-02.75 in triple jump, ending in ninth place.
