Should High School Students have Tattoos?
By Peyton Kruntorad
One increasingly popular form of self-expression for students in high school is through tattoos. These permanent inked symbols serve as more than just body art.
Each tattoo etched onto a high school student's skin tells a story. These symbols may be inspired by significant life events, cultural influences, or personal beliefs.
Chase Rasmussen, a junior with a tattoo states, “My tattoo is very important because I got it in Hawaii, and it is the bible verse I got confirmed with.”
His tattoo is a cross with the bible verse Philippians 4:13.
High school is a time of transition and milestones, and tattoos often serve as permanent markers of these significant moments.
While tattoos can be powerful tools for self-expression, it's essential to recognize that they come with challenges. High school students need to carefully consider the permanence of their decisions, as personal tastes and beliefs may evolve over time.
Kaden Froehlich states, ”I think they're fine if they are appropriate. You should discuss it with your parents to make sure it's ok.”
