Bluejay Tracksters Sprint into a New Season

The Bluejay competitors kicked off their 2023 track season on Monday, March 6. The boys have a total of 40 participating in track this year with 22 returning letterwinners.
Senior Addison Croghan was a state qualifier last year, along with a returning letterwinner. He commented on the upcoming year, “I’m pretty excited for this upcoming season. We have a lot of promising potential throughout the whole team. Everyone has been working hard in practice so far, and we are very determined to give every meet our best!”
First year head coach Les Painter stated, “Honestly, I’m really excited about our boys right now. I feel like if they can meet their potential, I feel like we have a chance of being in the top five in the state of Nebraska. As the new head coach, I feel my job might be easier. I have really good assistant coaches.”
The boys will compete at their first meet in Stanton on Tuesday, March 28.
