New Students at PHS

Welcoming New Junior Champion White

By Autumn Lambrecht

This year Pierce High is welcoming many new students and Champion White is one of our new juniors. Champion is the son of Andy and Tami White. He has six siblings and is the second youngest.

He attended Zion Lutheran School for preschool throughout eighth grade and played basketball, football and track. For his first two years of high school he attended Lutheran High Northeast and again was an athlete in basketball, football and track.

Champion will be a Bluejays athlete for football, basketball, and track. His hobbies include fishing and sports. Champion really enjoys sports and being with his friends.

A fun fact about him is he can solve a rubik’s cube in record time.

New Student Brock Collison

By Kaden Froehlich

Brock Collison moved up to the hill from Zion Lutheran this school year as an incoming freshman. Collison lives with his parents, Ryan and Brooke, and has siblings Luke and Zach who are 19-year-old twins and Brenna who is 22.

Collison is participating in football this fall and plans to also compete in basketball and track.

His first few weeks have gone well at Pierce. He says, “It’s awesome because of the small-town sports feel and being able to hang out with friends.”

Collison stated his favorite class so far is strength third period with Mr. Painter because he finds Mr. Painter funny and the class involves little thinking.

In his free time, Collison likes to play with his dog and shoot hoops.

Pierce High is glad to welcome Brock Collison.

Pierce High School is happy to welcome a new face to the freshman class, Skyler Stern who is the son of Mike and Cali and has three other siblings: Elliot (19), Lillian (13), and Axel (9). Stern grew up in Fullerton. Stern’s favorite family vacation was when he traveled to Yellowstone National Park about three years ago. His favorite part was seeing all of the mountains.

Stern participates in football and wrestling. His favorite class is Spanish with Mrs. Victor. He says, “I have a lot of fun learning different languages.” Stern is also excited to take many science classes in the future because he has always enjoyed them.

When he is older Stern wants to become a meteorologist. A goal of Sterns is to earn his bachelor's degree.

In Stern’s free time you can find him fishing, camping, playing football, and hanging out with friends.

After asking Stern about his time so far at the high school he responded, “It’s been pretty great. I have met a lot of new people.”

Pierce High wishes Stern the best of luck in his future!
