Coach Melinda Stelling was proud of the work the girls did Saturday, saying, “Overall I thought the team played well. Ashley and Katelyn both had personal bests so that was nice to see. Their hard work is starting to pay off.”
The lone medalist of the day, junior Keli Shermer, ended with a 100. To give a breakdown of the rest of the teammates, sophomore Ashley Wacker ended the day with a 105, junior Zaylah Pfansteil shot a 110, and junior Katelyn Gubbels had a 116.
Wacker commented, ”I thought overall the team did a great job, and the fact that two members got their PB proves it.”
The Boone Invite gave the team a chance to compete against a diverse array of schools and really size up the challenge of their future competition.
