Pierce High Graduate Kristie Lubischer

by Faith Lubischer

Let’s take a glance at the life of a Pierce High graduate from the class of 1993, Kristie (Warneke) Lubischer. Kristie was born on July 12, 1975, and she attended Zion Lutheran School for her elementary education before going to Pierce High School. Throughout high school Kristie participated in volleyball, basketball, student council, and National Honor Society. Close friend of Kristie, Brooke Collison, explains that her favorite memory with Kristie throughout high school, “was when we took Kristie’s car to state basketball in Lincoln and on the way home the car broke down. We didn’t have cell phones so we had to walk to a house on a gravel road. Luckily there was a couple home and the guy drove into the nearest town to buy a part and fixed the car.”

After graduating high school, Kristie went to three different colleges which were Nebraska Wesleyan, Mount Marty, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center to eventually get her masters of science in nursing to give her the title of an APRN which stands for advanced practice registered nurse. With this degree, Kristie now works at the OBGYN office, Women’s Health, in Norfolk. Besides working as a nurse practitioner, Kristie also works as a travel agent from home where she books trips for people, and her business is called Kristie’s Prestige Travel.

Kristie started her family when she got married to her husband Brad Lubischer in 1995, and they have been married for 24 years now. The two have three kids, Dillon Lubischer (20), Faith Lubischer (16), and Gavin Lubischer (10).

When asked what she is most proud of in her life, Kristie says she is most proud of, “my family, my work, and my travel business.”
