JH Track Teams Place at Mid-States

The junior high track teams took on the Mid-State meet on Saturday, April 22, at O’Neill. The 7th grade girls earned 1st place, and the 8th grade girls took 5th. As for the grade boys, the 7th graders placed 5th, and the 8th graders placed 1st.
Individual placings for the 7th grade girls were as follows. Katie Vogt got 5th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.51, 4th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.06, and 1st in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.12. Alexus Sindelar got 1st in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:59.47, 3rd in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.05, and 2nd in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 33.20. The 4x100 relay team of Kyli Beckner, Payten Simmons, Katie Vogt, and Morgan Blecher placed 1st with a time of 56.17. The 4x400 relay team also placed 1st with a time of 4:42.88 and was run by Beckner, Simmons, Julia Polt, and Sindelar. In high jump, Payten Simmons placed 1st with a height of 4’04.00.” In long jump, Gina Wrage took 4th with a jump of 13’01”, and Blecher placed 5th with a jump of 12’09.50.” Blecher also placed 3rd in triple jump with a jump of 28’02.” In shot put, Graison Pfeiffer took 3rd with a throw of 25’09.25”, and Brynnlee Marks received 5th for her throw of 25’03.” Marks also placed 2nd in discus with a throw of 74’09.”
As for the 8th grade girls, Elizabeth Hammer took 2nd with a time of 13.81 in the 100-meter dash, with Kenzie Moeller in 4th with a time of 14.35. The same two girls placed in the 200-meter dash with Hammer taking 1st with a time of 28.41 and Moeller in 3rd with a time of 29.72. Hammer also placed 3rd in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.84. Faith Lubischer got 6th in the 200 hurdles with a time of 34.48. The 4x100 relay team of McKenna Shonka, Abby Meier, Lubischer, and Moeller placed 1st with a time of 56.83. In the 4x400 relay, the team of Meier, Alexis Schnoor, Shonka, and Mikala Stone got 6th with a time of 4:54.63. Meier also placed 5th in high jump with a height of 4’04.” Stone placed 5th with a height of 5’00.” In long jump, Moeller placed 4th with a jump of 14’04.50.” Lubischer placed 3rd in triple jump with a jump of 30’10.” In shot put, Ashton Oestreich threw 26’03.00” and took 6th.
For the 7th grade boys, in the 100-meter dash, Ritter Oestreich got 1st with a time of 13:40. Michael Kruntorad placed 3rd in the 100 hurdles with a time of 19.47. In the 200 hurdles, Oestreich took 3rd with a time of 33.06 and Kruntorad took 4th with a time of 33.96. In the 4x100 relay, the team of Braedy Grosshuesch, Seth Premer, Coleton Cooper, and Oestreich got 4th with a time of 54.37. The team of Grosshuesch, Premer, Kaden Johnson, and Oestreich placed 2nd in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:24.14. In high jump, Kruntorad got 3rd with a height of 4’10”, and Grosshuesch got 6th with a height of 4’06.” Grosshuesch also got 6th in long jump with a jump of 14’00.” In shot put, Aiden Thelen got 3rd with a throw of 31’06.50” and 1st place in discus with a throw of 89’10.”
The 8th grade boys’ results were as follows: David Dale got first in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and 400-meter dash with times of 12.58, 25.13, and 55.10, respectively. Mason Sindelar got 4th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:23.09 and 5th in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:17.38. The 4x100 relay team of Dawson Watts, Cruz Gleason, Logan Moeller, and Miles Garcia got 1st with a time of 51.76. The team of Sindelar, Moeller, Garcia, and Dale got 2nd in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:59.98. Garcia got 1st in pole vault with a height of 9’00.”
In long jump, Moeller got 1st with a jump of 16’10.” Moeller also received 2nd in triple jump with a jump of 35’07.50” and Sindelar was right behind him with 3rd place and a jump of 35’07.50.” In shot put, Gleason got 3rd with a throw of 41’06.75”, and Shawn Rinkel got 5th for his throw of 33’09.75.” Gleason also got 1st in discus with a throw of 129’03.50”, and Rinkel got 6th with a throw of 97’03.”
The junior high track team also competed on Monday, April 24, at Pierce, and their last meet was Tuesday, May 2, at Wayne.
JH Track Team Hosts Invitational

The Pierce junior high track meet was held on Monday, April 24. The meet had two divisions. In first place for girls’ Division 1 was Pierce. Pierce also placed first in boys’ Division 1. In Division 2, Pierce’s girls placed 7th, and the boys placed 4th.
In girls’ Division 1, Sarah Miller threw 82’ 8” and received 1st place in discus, and Ashton Oestreich threw 53’1” and placed 5th. In triple jump, Faith Lubischer jumped 31’ 4” and placed 2nd, Alexus Sindelar jumped 29’ 8” and placed 3rd, and Abby Meier jumped 28’ 8” and received 5th place. In high jump, Peyton Simmons jumped 4’6” placing 3rd, and Meier placed fourth with the jump of 4’4”. In shot put, Ashton Oestreich threw 25’ 7” and placed 2nd, Miller threw 25’ and placed 3rd, and Mikala Stone threw 24’5” and placed 4th. In long jump, Kenzie Moeller placed 2nd with a jump of 14’6”, and Gina Wragge placed 5th with a jump of 13’ 6”. In pole vault, Cara Graae placed 2nd with a height of 5’6”, and Mikala Stone placed 4th with a height of 5’6”. In the 100 hurdles, Elizabeth Hammer placed 4th with a time of 0:18.3, Lubischer placed 5th with a time 0:18.4, and Gina Wragge placed 6th with a time of 0:19.14. In the 100-meter dash Hammer placed 1st with a time of 0:13.9, Moeller placed 3rd with a time of 0:13.7, and Callie Arnold placed 4th with a time of 0:13.9. In the 1600, Sindelar placed 1st with a time of 6:07, and Marlie Kroupa placed 5th with a time of 6:31.75. In the 4x100 relay, the team of Arnold, Lubischer, Katie Vogt, and Moeller, received 1st with a time of 0:55.6. In the 400-meter dash, Vogt received 1st place with a time of 1:03.41, Hammer received 3rd place with a time of 1:06.70, and Simmons received 5th with the time of 1:10.71. In the 800, Arnold received 1st with a time of 2:49.81, Meier received 2nd with a time of 2:54.57, and Bridget Raff received 5th with a time of 3:05.7. In the 195 hurdles, Sindelar received 4th with the time of 0:32.59, and Faith Lubischer received 5th with a time of 0:32.6. In the 200-meter dash, Hammer placed 1st with a time of 0:28.56, Vogt received 2nd with the time of 29.08, and Moeller received 3rd with the time of 29.53. In the 4x400 relay the team of Arnold, Simmons, Sindelar, and Vogt received 1st with a time 4:40.18.
For boys’ Division 1, In the discus throw, Cruz Gleason threw 114’ 7.5” and received 2nd, and Shawn Rinkel threw 86’ 04” and placed 6th. In triple jump, Mason Sindelar jumped 37’ 1” and placed 2nd, and Logan Moeller jumped 35’4” and placed 3rd. In high jump, Blake Beckner jumped 4’ 8” and placed 2nd. In the shot put, Gleason placed 1st with a throw of 42’11.5”, Rinkel placed 2nd with a throw of 35’ 5”, and Aiden Thelen placed 4th with a throw of 34’ 0.5”. In long jump, Logan Moeller placed 2nd with a jump of 17’1”, and Colt Arnold placed 5th with a jump of 15’ 01”. In pole vault, Miles Garcia placed 1st with a with a height of 8’6”, Delka placed 4th with a height of 7’, and Kurtis Raff placed 5th with a height of 7’. In the 100 hurdles, Delka placed 2nd with a time of 20.13. In the 100-meter dash, David Dale placed 1st with a time of 0:11.95, Gleason placed 2nd with a time of 0:12.59, and Colt Arnold placed 4th with a time of 0:12.71. In the 1600, Mason Sindelar placed 1st with a time of 5:21.05. In the 4x100 relay, the team of Arnold, Moeller, Gleason, and Miles Garcia placed 1st with a time of 0:49.99. In the 400-meter dash, Dale received 1st with a time of 0:55.27.In the 800, Sindelar received 2nd with a time of 2:22.34. In the 195 hurdles, Delka placed 5th with the time of 0:34.34. In the 200-meter dash, Dale received 1st with a time of 0:25.47, and Garcia received 3rd with a time of 0:26.73. In the 4x400 relay, the team of Sindelar, Garcia, Moeller, and Dale placed 1st with a time of 4:02.03.
In girls’ Division 2, in the 100-meter dash, Kyli Beckner received 4th place with a time of 14.28, and Julia Polt took 5th with a time of 14.34. In the 400, Polt placed 3rd with a time of 1:11.4. In the 100 hurdles, Kennedy Warneke placed 2nd with a time of 19.9. In the 195 hurdles, Warneke placed 4th with a time of 35.78, and Mckenna Shonka placed 5th with the time of 35.85. In the 4x100 relay, the team of Beckner, Shonka, Warneke, and Morgan Blecher placed 1st with a time of 57.0. In the 4x400-meter relay, the team of Polt, Alexis Schnoor, Shonka, and Beckner placed 2nd place with a time of 4:59.96. In high jump, Taylor Miller placed 2nd with a height of 4’2”, and Abygail Streff placed 6th with a height of 3’10”. In pole vault, Schnoor placed 2nd with a height of 5’. In long jump, Blecher received 2nd with a jump of 13’7”. In triple jump, Blecher placed 3rd with a jump of 27’5”, Shonka placed 4th with a jump of 26’9”, and Kailey Marks placed 5th with a jump of 26’1.5”. In the shot put, Brynlee Marks received 2nd with a throw of 27’1.5”, Samantha Fischer placed 3rd with a throw of 25’11”, and Graison Pfeiffer placed 4th with a throw of 24’5”. In the discus throw, Marks received 3rd with a throw of 71’10”, Makinzie Parsons placed 4th with the throw of 68’4.5”, and Graison Pfeiffer placed 6th with a throw of 59’6.5”.
The boys’ Division 2 results were as follows. In the 100-meter dash Ritter Oestreich placed 4th with a time of 0:12.96. In the 400, Kaden Johnson placed 4th with a time of 1:07.84, and Coleton Cooper placed 6th with a time of 1:09.8. In the 800, Colton Fritz placed 6th with a time of 2:44.41. In the 100-meter hurdles, Michael Kruntorad placed 5th with a time of 0:19.2. In the 195, Oestreich placed 4th with a time of 0:31.53. In the 4x100 relay, the team of Seth Premer, Braedy Grosshuesch, Cooper and Oestreich took 5th place with a time of 0:54.31. In the 4x400-meter relay, team of Premer, Grosshuesch, Kaden Johnson, and Oestreich placed 3rd with a time of 4:24. In pole vault, Kruntorad placed 3rd with a height of 7’6”, Isaiah Adams placed 4th with the height of 6’6”, and Cooper placed 6th with the height of 6’. In triple jump, Fritz placed 5th with a jump of 30’8”, and Luke Collison placed 6th with a jump of 30’3”. In shot put, Hunter Raabe received 6th with a throw of 30’11”. In the discus throw, Tristan Miller received 1st with a throw of 97’.
The next junior high track meet was Tuesday, May 2, at Wayne, and this was their final meet of the season.
