Cross Country Races into First Meet

The cross country team traveled to Boone Central for their first meet of the season on Friday, August 31. The varsity boys placed 4th as a team.
Bringing it home with a top run for the boys’ varsity was Mason Sindelar in 2nd with a time of 17:08. Next was Isaac Lambrecht in 14th with a time of 18:04. Coming in right behind him was Cole Vogt in 15th with a time of 18:06. Carter Jensen finished in 25th with a time of 19:07. Miles Garcia finished 28th with a time of 19:16, followed by Colt Arnold in 36th with a run time of 19:56. Brock Bolling finished 48th with a time of 20:13. Christopher Efta came in 59th with a time of 20:56. To finish it off was Dalton Haase in 67th with a time of 21:24.
For the varsity girls’ race, Alexus Sindelar finished in 3rd with a top run time of 20:52. Following was Callie Arnold in 4th with a run time of 21:03. Bridget Raff finished in 22nd with a time of 23:51.
In the junior high division, Champion White finished 5th with a time of 8:59. Following him in 8th with a time of 9:06 was Ashton Koch.
Coming into the first meet of the season coach Gary Shada said, “I was very pleased with what I saw and was very anxious to see them perform. Overall, weather conditions just proved how important consistent training over the summer is important.”
The next cross country meet is Friday, September 7, at Skyview Lake.
