Speech Team Places 2nd at Wausa

The speech team traveled to Wausa Saturday, February 10. Both the JV and varsity teams received runner-up.
The varsity team had 11 medalists, including Halle Ross placing 2nd in serious prose, Maiya Baumann placing 2nd in humorous prose; Elizabeth Harris placing 3rd in serious prose; Morgan Crist placing 3rd in poetry; the oral interpretation of drama group of Macie Timm, Jaden Gleason, Dylan Delka, Abigail White, and Janae Arens placing 3rd; Dylan Delka placing 4th in entertainment; Janae Arens and Dylan Delka placing 4th in duet acting; Macie Timm placing 6th in entertainment; Sydney Erickson placing 4th in informative; Caydan Retzlaff placing 5th in extemporaneous; and Abigail White placing 6th in informative.
The JV had seven medalists. Receiving medals were Mark Venteicher placing 1st in informative, Abygail Streff placing 2nd in extemporaneous and 5th in poetry, Shelby White placing 2nd in persuasive, Bridget Raff placing 2nd in entertainment, Tanner Kuper placing 3rd in informative, and Kaleb Zamora placing 4th in humorous prose.
The next speech meet will be in Battle Creek for the Brave Classic on Saturday, February 17.
