Elementary Hammers Math

Lightning and thunder hammered down on elementary math classes at Pierce Elementary School the week before Christmas break. Pierce graduate Micah Bahnfleth, who recently graduated from UNO with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Math, graced grades 3-6 with a visit from Thor. Bahnfleth first dressed as Thor to help a friend from college teach math to elementary students. PATS noticed this posted to social media and invited Bahnfleth to come teach lessons at Pierce Elementary. Bahnfleth used his long hair and muscular costume to pose as Thor.

The PATS group sponsored Thor’s visit to Pierce Elementary School as an exciting way to teach math and a welcome break from day to day studies at the end of the semester.
